Goddess Saraswati represents intelligence, consciousness, cosmic knowledge, creativity, education, enlightenment, music, the arts, eloquence and power.
The expression of goddess is very serene and calm in the pictures and idol. She is adorned by white sari and holds an amritkalasha, aksharmala and book in her hands and one hand is in chinmudra. Her eyes are filled with compassion and love for her devotees. Her vehicle swan symbolises the sattva guna (purity and discrimination). The puja is generally observed on the Basant panchami in northeastern parts of India and on the last three days of shardiya navratri.
Goddess Saraswati is the inspirational aspect of shakti. It is believed that her pooja removes the gloominess and ignorance from one’s life. Her pooja escorted in freshness and acquaintance.
