Description

Aniseed Essential Oil rejuvenates the body by promoting the flow of energy in the body. It is a powerful insect repellant and can be used as a protection against bites. The oil kills germs in the intestines and stomach and keeps the digestive system healthy. It is said to be good for eyesight as well.

Anise Essential Oil possesses the distinctive aroma of black licorice. Although you may not be a fan of black licorice, a single drop or two of Anise Seed Essential Oil can dramatically enhance an otherwise dull blend. It can be useful in diffuser and inhaler blends intended to help ease bronchitis, colds and the flu.
It is said to help promote the production of breast milk and stimuate menstruation, but it should be used with caution and avoided in oestrogen-dependent cancers

History
Revered by ancient civilizations, particularly in the Middle East, Aniseed has long been used in cooking and in bread-making. The Romans hailed it as an aphrodisiac, and in India, the seeds are still chewed to sweeten the breath. It is widely used as a spice in cooking, and as an ingredient in toothpastes and mouthwashes. Aniseed oil is very popular amongst soap-makers because the fresh spicy scent eliminates the smell of onions and fish on the hands when used by cooks, and masks the odor of humans when used by fishermen and hunters

Color & Aroma
Color : Colorless or pale yellow and crushed fruit odor
Aroma : This oil has a liquorice-like smell
